ELECTRONIC MECHANIC

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) independently performing on-aircraft maintenance, including the installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of complex avionics systems; 2) demonstrating a thorough, practical knowledge of advanced electronic theory and principles as they apply to digital and analog circuits, airborne navigation and communication systems, and integrated electronic systems 3) interpreting technical data and schematics to diagnose system-wide issues and isolate faults to the component level; 4) using judgment and analysis to plan and execute maintenance procedures, document actions, and effectively utilize standard and specialized electronic test equipment.
