ELECTRONICS MECHANIC

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: (1) Implementing maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of electronic systems; (2) Participating in the overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of electronic systems; (3) Operating and maintaining complex automated test equipment (ATE); (4) Interpreting manufacturer's specifications, schematics, block diagrams, and technical orders; (5) Determining the operation of circuits and locating points from which to take readings; and (6) Analyzing circuit layouts to make visual inspections.
