Environmental Protection Assistant

To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Ensuring all inspections, monitoring, record keeping, and reporting requirement of environmental permits are done in a timely manner per instructions. Providing various administrative and technical functions to ensure hazardous and universal wastes are being managed in strict accordance with the applicable requirements of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Ensuring hazardous waste storage facilities/areas, satellite accumulations areas, and all other waste accumulation areas/locations are being managed in accordance with established procedures and protocols Maintaining situational awareness of facilities, operations, and activities where environmental hazards/environment risk may be present or releases to the environment could occur NOTE: All experience statements (i.e., duties, specialized experience, or related applicable assessment) copied from this announcement and pasted into your resume will not be considered as a demonstration of your qualifications for this position.
