PRECISION MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT CALIBRATOR

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION 1) Using industry approved procedures and testing methods to perform precise measurements on general purpose mechanical and electronic test equipment. 2) Utilizing appropriate measurement procedures; performing corrective actions to address identified calibration problems 3) Using a variety of hand power tools to make incidental repairs, corrections and adjustments. 4) Setting up work from technical orders, technical bulletins and technical manuals to perform much of the duties. 5) Selecting the necessary tools to perform tests, inspections, and repairs of precision measurement instruments and equipment.
