With BAE Systems, you will be able to make an impact while you hone your skills and grow in your career.<br>BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and driven Software or Computer Engineering Co-op for 2026 to work with a talented team supporting the development, test, integration and verification of modern combat vehicles.<br><br>This role is located at our Combat Missions Systems facility in Sterling Heights, MI. Sound like a team you want to be part of?<br><br><strong>As a Software or Computer Engineering Co-op:</strong></span></span><ul><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Hands-on systems integration and test of complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems in both software labs and on tactical military hardware or vehicles</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Development of integration, verification, and validation planning documentation of integration and test plans, procedures, reports, status reports, and other related documentation for new software releases in a software lab environment and on tactical vehicles</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, performance, and quality requirements</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Perform non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of test and tactical systems using commonly used test equipment</span></span></li></ul><br></br></br><b>Required Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-left:8px"><strong><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">MUST BE A CURRENT STUDENT at KETTERING UNIVERSITY</span></span></span></strong></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Pursuing a degree in</span></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"> Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, Cybersecurity</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Minimum of Sophomore standing</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Programming experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Experience with computer and/or network troubleshooting</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Basic knowledge of software development fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-bottom:11px; However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.<br><br>Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
